Stains
First of all, "spots" - we just suck right up. "Stains" include coffee, sodas, red wine, Kool-Aid and wood dye. These products, along with others, change the color of the carpet by penetrating color into the dye sites of the yarn.
My best advice to folks who have accidental spills is to blot them up as best as possible, vacuum, and then call a professional for repair. There is an art and science to removing these stains. We can remove most any stain so long as it is left alone. If treated improperly you might change the pH of the carpet, thus cooking the dye into the yarns and permanently setting the stain.
Carpet Dying
Many people call us because they have spilled chlorinated bleach (or some type of cleaning product) which removed the color from their carpet. Don't Panic! We can match up a dye and add it back to the carpet, restoring it to its natural color. The larger the bleach stain the more difficult it is to repair, and the smaller the easier. However, no job is too tough for us to tackle. In fact, carpet dying and bleach stain removal happen to be our specialty.
